Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce came into existence  in 1980 with B.Com course under  Prof. P. Harikumaran Nair .The PG Department of Commerce offers UG programme –, B.Com (finance) and PG course – M.Com (Finance).. PG course M.com (Finance) commenced from the academic year 2013-14     The Department of commerce organized one state level  seminar and is publishing department level magazines from 2014 onwards. During 2015-16 the department successfully launched an ISBN Book titled “Reforms in Insurance sector in India whether a  boon or bane “ (ISBN 978-93-5259-331-1) .Post graduate department of commerce organizing industrial visit ,commerce fest , invited talks etc… for the comprehensive development  of students . The Department offers career counseling to final year students of both UG and PG. .Mr. V. Vamana Shenoy, Mr. V. Trivikrama Shenoy, Ms. S. Raja Vidya (Chartered Accountants) and Mr. V. Devanand (playback Singer) are some prominent alumni of commerce Department..
